Today I bought a goose egg. Just for the sheer hell of it. It just looked so lovely.
I can’t seem to bring myself to crack it open and eat it though.
It looks too nice and I wonder whether if we just keep it wrapped in it’s paper bag that it’ll turn into a little goose and we’ll call it Dave.
It’s huge isn’t it! We get tiny hen’s eggs sometimes. I’m not sure I’ve ever eaten a goose egg – I have eaten Ostrich egg in South Africa (not a whole one though they are E-normous!)

I just ate Dave! (as it were) And it was really rather tasty
That would take some eating – wonder if it tastes different to hen’s eggs?
Love it. We bought some of these last year to dye for Easter. We didn’t eat them, though.

Isn’t it?! I don’t think I’ve ever seen one before. We might boil it at the weekend and all four of us have a dip.
